It has been 10 years since we did Red Lodge. I love the simplicity of the skiing and this small country town in the Beartooth mountains. The only traffic jam I saw   was a flock of wild turkeys walking down main street. The skiing had zero lift lines and nice varied terrain. The food choices were excellent. The hotel was excellent. Everything was excellent. We are going back for a breath of fresh air….

Excellent!

~~~~~~~~~~
2,400 vertical, 70 runs, 50% beg./inter, 50% advanced, 100% uncrowded  fun!
The lodging:  The Pollard is so cool!  It is an historic hotel built over a hundred years ago. It has been beautifully restored and brought into modernity. It is truly a gorgeous property and all 30 folks who did this trip last time loved the Pollard.  They have a great lobby area, a nice bar, and a full-service restaurant on site that has excellent cuisine. It is a chill place to hang out and enjoy, as is all of Red Lodge.   Pollard gallery
The Pollard is an historic hotel that has kept its antique flavor but offers modern comforts at the same time.
We have several categories of rooms available, first-come/first-served. See Logistics section below for details.
The ski resort:  The stats are listed previously above. The resort is far from any urban areas. It is uncrowded and laid back. It is way inland, so when they get snow it is dry and light. We are hoping for some of that! The resort is similar in size to Bridger Bowl or Brighton. It is not a huge resort, but it skis big. And there are no crowds…. perfect.
The town of Red Lodge: This place is magical to me.  It is in the gorgeous Beartooth Mountains, away from all the craziness and noise. As my awesome poem above states, no traffic light and turkey traffic jams… not kidding!  Our group 10 years ago absolutely loved this chill place. It is simply going back in time… and with what we have experienced the past 3 years, that is not a bad idea at all! Great town, many dining choices, 15 minues from the ski hill. What not to love?  Answer: nothin.
Air logistics:  Everyone flies into/out of Billings, Montana. We will have a private transport company for the 1.5 hour ride to Red Lodge. Once we get the group set and know flight times, we will organize two pick up times. Same going back.
Ground transportation: We are organizing a private company that will provide our moving needs, to/from airport, 15 minute run up to ski hill and back daily, etc.  The cost will be very reasonable (Guesstimate: $95) and it will be convenient and easy. More on this later.
