Optional Bike Ride

This is a dream adventure and we are offering it to all the Umbria peeps on Day 8 . April 14....

 A scenic electric-assist bike ride along an old raiilroad bed! 

 The ride is scenic and travels on a path that used to be a railroad. Bridges, tunnels, scenery…. it has it all! And because it is an old rail route, it is not steep… just a gradual climb.

We will leave from the nearby town of Spoleto in the morning. 

We will meet our 2 guides and pick up our Electric Assist bikes. We will ride about 17 miles to the small town of Borgo Cerreto where we will have an included lunch. Then it’s back the same way with a gradual downhill making the return easy.  

Who can do this?  IF you are a decent bike rider and are in decent shape, you can join us. If you have not ridden a bike in 20 years, nope… not for you.  The ride will not be difficult due to the electric assist bikes.  If you are a regular rider, you can easily do this ride!

OPTIONAL activity for the non-riders: You will have a morning at leisure at the Borgo and a cooking class with chef in the afternoon.

~Fee for delivering and returning the bikes to Spoleto

What is NOT included:

~ Small fee for our shared taxis from Marmotta  to/from Spoleto starting and ending point. We will just share taxi cost for this short ride.

~Tips for the guides.

Cost: The entire day and all the listed items will be $179 per person. 

 This will be included in your final invoice amount if you opt for this fabulous add-on.
